Innominate chooses Solsoft Policy Server OEM Toolkit as its management platform for the mGuard Firewall product line
Paris/Berlin, 16 June 2004 - Solsoft, Inc., the leading provider of network security policy management solutions, today announced that Innominate Security Technologies AG has chosen the Solsoft Policy Server platform to automate and simplify the management of the mGuard Firewall product line. The new mGuard Enterprise Management will lower operational management costs of securing large firewall and VPN networks. Powered by Solsoft's patented network policy design engine, the solution will simplify management across large deployments of Innominate devices.
Solsoft OEM partners can pick and choose features in the Solsoft Policy Server OEM Toolkit to construct a powerful network security management solution that fits their needs. Part of Solsoft's OEM offering is the Solsoft Device SDK, which makes it possible to add support for a new device in a matter of weeks. The end result is a solution that can design and manage several hundred devices and all the security traffic flows in an enterprise network. All of this can be done via simple drag-and-drop actions, making time-consuming configuration and administration of individual network security devices a thing of the past.
In the case of Innominate mGuard, large companies often employ several hundred of these miniature firewall and VPN appliances. The new Innominate Enterprise Management System powered by Solsoft will provide sophisticated, policy-based management and a state-of-the-art graphical interface, reducing the time and effort involved in security administration. The system can manage several hundred Innominate mGuard devices, including complex VPN and firewall configurations, with a few mouse clicks. It will also make sure the mGuard security appliances always have the latest software updates.
