Innominate says new enterprise management system simplifies network security administration

Berlin, 9 March 2004 - Innominate Security Technologies AG is launching a new management platform for enterprise-wide security administration. Innominate's Enterprise Management System makes it quick and easy to manage all of a company's network security solutions. Large companies often employ several hundred mGuards, Innominate's miniature firewall and VPN appliance. And now they can all be managed with just a few clicks of the mouse via a user-friendly graphical interface. The new administration console also supports the management of firewall and VPN gateways from other manufacturers. The Berlin-based security specialist will unveil its Enterprise Management System at CeBIT 2004, in Hall 6, booth F02/1.
With Innominate's Enterprise Management System, time-consuming configuration and administration of the individual security components in a network are becoming a thing of the past. Functions like sophisticated, policy-based management and a powerful graphical interface considerably reduce the time and effort involved in security administration. The system manages several hundred Innominate mGuards and all the security components connected to them via simple drag-and-drop actions. So, it now takes only a couple of mouse clicks to set up a VPN connection between Hamburg and Santa Barbara.
Innominate's new security management solution uses a compiler to translate security guidelines into firewall and VPN configurations. This reduces the amount of work involved in setting up security configurations and dramatically lowers the risk of incorrect settings jeopardizing security. In addition, Innominate's Enterprise Management System can also make sure the mGuard security appliances always have the latest software updates.
