Hirschmann and Innominate form Industrial Security Alliance
Hannover, 24 April 2006 - The Berlin-based security specialist Innominate Security Technologies AG and Hirschmann Automation and Control GmbH, located in Neckartenzlingen, Germany, are pleased to announce a strategic partnership. The starting point for the alliance will be a joint trade fair stand at the Interkama+ "Secure Automation", the international lead fair for process automation within the Hannover Messe (hall 7, stand A43). Both companies will present innovative solutions covering the fields of industrial security and Industrial Ethernet.
In the spotlight at the joint trade fair stand will be the presentation of a security solution for remote maintenance conducted via the Internet, which is based on the "Eagle mGuard" industry firewall co-developed by the two companies. Under the auspices of the partnership, Innominate’s complete portfolio of mGuard security appliances now features the "Industrial HiVision" network management software from Hirschmann. Additionally, Hirschmann offers its customers technical support for the entire mGuard product portfolio.

Eagle mGuard, a product co-developed by the two companies and previously marketed under the names mGuard industrial and EAGLE, plus the entire mGuard product line, form the security platform through which production systems can be securely networked, enabling remote maintenance and monitoring via encrypted VPN tunnels.
